November 2014 Minis Part 2

It was fun trying out a new location for the Saturday morning mini sessions this year. I am always looking for places that have good light in the mornings and even though the sun was blazing by 8:30, we found some really cool trees to provide just the right amount of shade and unique, colorful backdrops!

Jason, Kara and Jackson were first up, along with soon to be baby surprise. Can’t wait to find out if Jackson has a new baby brother or sister:

I took Tyler’s preschool photos last year, so I was excited when his Mom, Kelly, contacted me about doing their family photos. I loved the golden sunshine mixed with their red Christmas outfits! Aaron and Kelly – thanks for the opportunity to capture your family!

Here are Jacob and Princess Brooklyn. I LOVED her outfit!!

And Mr. Tyler:

Ron, Paula, Emily, Lucas and Daniel make this driftwood look amazing. I have so many great shots of their family:

Matthew brought along all of his favorite things for this photo session and I must say I was loving this guitar!!!! He also brought along his baseball bat and magic tricks. The best part was when he started calling my photo assistant, Josie, his magic assistant. It was so cute! Love this kid:

Thanks to everyone for coming out. I love photographing you all year after year!!!!!

Ben and Theo

Ben and Theo hung out with me the other night at my favorite location and they did the best job looking and smiling for me. It was a great evening with this beautiful family:

The blue trunk has been a big hit this year and Mom specifically mentioned that she loved it from another session. It matched perfectly with the boys’ outfits and they did such a good job smiling and playing the drums on it.

We’re following the leader, wherever he may go…

Theo just turned one and was SO excited for his cake smash. He had no problems digging right in and nodded his head in approval after every bite. It was the cutest thing and so much fun to watch:

Colin, Susie, Ben and Theo – thank you!! It was great to meet you all. Your gallery will be coming soon.:)

November 2014 Minis Round 1

This week is just about my busiest week of the whole year, prepare to see tons of cute kids and families on the blog over the next week. I have a total of 15 mini sessions in November, along with a handful of other full family sessions so there will be lots of fun activity around here!! Our mini sessions on Sunday were filled with lots of new friends and this beautiful twin brother and sister pair started off my day with their sparkling blue eyes and super fun, silly personalities! Meet Mason and Madison:

For the next session, their cousins showed up and they were having a great time together instantly. My kids absolutely LOVE their cousins and I could tell these four have a lot of fun together:

Poor Miss Sara woke up sick and was having a really rough day. She was such a trooper making it through the photo session, but only with a little bit of cuddles from Mom. Everyone wants the perfect portrait / smiling picture but sometimes these are the real treasures. I love the picture below because it shows some of our favorite moments as Moms. It’s not great when our babies feel sick, but I love the times that I can comfort them and hold them in my arms and make them feel better. Sara loves her Mom and there’s no place better when you’re feeling miserable than right in the middle of Mommy’s arms!!

Amazingly enough, and with the help of a little bit of photoshop magic, we were also able to get some great shots of Miss Sara and her beautiful sister Abby:

Anshul and Ruchi were also new friends and brought their adorable boys along for some pics. Arjun was filled with big smiles right away but Vikram was still deciding what he thought of me. In the end, I won him over with my bag full of toys and the promos of stickers at the end.:)

Travis and Teresa are always so much fun to photograph. I wanted to take Teresa’s super cute outfit home with me and I just love Aislinn and Brady. It’s crazy how much kids grow when you haven’t seen them for a year. Last time I saw Brady we were taking pictures of him in baskets and he could barely hold his head up. We had so much fun this time, wandering around, playing the drums on my trunk, and throwing rocks back and forth:

Thanks to everyone for trusting me with your family photos and coming out to the mini sessions. I loved the time hanging out with you all and getting to capture your wonderful kids’ personalities!!!

The Best of Apple Hill

Apple Hill this time of year is one of the most beautiful places around! The barns, the fall colors, apple crates and the orchards – it’s such a great place to take family photos!! We were able to head to some of our favorite spots in Apple Hill and capture the best of the many cool backgrounds!

Thanks Randy, Heather, Carson, Makenna and Cohen!! It was fun to meet you and race around Apple Hill together!!!:)
