lovely

 

Gisselle is the sweetest, most adorable girl and not only did I enjoy capturing her senior portraits this weekend, but even planning and emailing back and forth has been fun with Gisselle, getting excited together about her senior pictures. I met Gisselle and her family when she was just 15 and it was amazing to see how she has blossomed and grown into such a lovely girl. Gisselle chose a great location and we wandered around for a couple hours. capturing tons of different looks. I absolutely loved her fun, funky fashion style and she brought along her sweet best friend to jump in a couple pictures and otherwise cheer her on. We shot until the light finally ran out on us and we may or may not have taken some photos at the end with a lifesize, cardboard Justin Bieber!! So, for Gisselle – in the words of Bieber himself “You’re beautiful, beautiful, you should know it.” Hope you like your senior portraits so far!!

I met Sandy when she was about 15. She loved photography even then, we would have loved to have someone take pictures like this of us. What beautiful pictures! I especially love the last shot with the blue dress and beautiful horse! Enjoy your senior year Gisselle!

Spring

 

I was so happy to have the opportunity to photograph this family. Everything about their session makes me think of spring, from the beautiful purple flowers to the golden sun, the little butterfly girls and beaming happy faces – even the outdoor play on the swing makes me think of the loveliest spring day. What a perfect way to spend the evening!

Richie

 

Richie is a cool senior guy with big plans ahead of him and I can already tell he will be successful. He is incredibly smart, easy-going and fun to hang around with. I had such a great time getting to know him as we wandered around his lovely home and nearby nature areas for his photos. He did a good job humoring me for all the different poses I requested and the many times I said “just one more.” Congratulations, Richie, on your graduation and best wishes in all your plans!!

BFF’s

I have been dreaming about doing a session with a bed in a field for a long time. Last week it finally became reality and it was even more fun to have my daughter and her best friends as the subjects of the photos. I imagine she will treasure these pictures from her childhood like I treasure having them now.

Oh my goodness! LOVE these! I’ve always wanted to do the bed in a field concept, too. So cute to do that with her besties. Love all the bright colors, too… you totally need to submit this to Lemonade & Lenses or one of the other inspiration blogs!!!
