urban – part 1

It was really fun incorporating a cool urban location into the mini sessions this year. I decided this first person deserved a post all his own since it’s his big year. Bryce came out to do his senior portraits and he did such a great job! He is graduating this year with a full-ride basketball scholarship to a great school and a top team. This location was perfect for him and we got so many cool shots.

Congratulations Bryce! It was fun meeting you and getting to take your pics. Hope you like them so far. Thanks Darcy – so great to see you too!!!

Thunderstorms

The weather forecast predicted thunderstorms last weekend when we were going to take Sarah’s pictures. Should we reschedule? No way – thunderstorms = great skies and big dark clouds so we went ahead with the session; it didn’t rain at all and we brought along the lights to capture the beautiful skies out in a field (see the last couple photos). I truly enjoyed hanging out with Brandi for a recent session. Brandy’s energy and personality shone through in all her images. Getting to know her a little as well, I am impressed with what a great girl she is as well – she has strong values and isn’t afraid to stand up for them. Unfortunately there is a shortage of “good” girls these days but Brandi is definitely one of them!

A little different, a lot of fun

This weekend I was able to attend another fun get together with some photographer girls. We got some high school seniors to come out and be our models for the evening. They were gorgeous girls and so patient to let us photograph them for hours! I tried a variety of different editing looks just for fun. I was tempted to go even more different than my normal style but decided against it – some day!
