Final Stop

After dragging Dallas and Elle all over town, I think they were ready for our final location. I had planned out all the stops I wanted to make and we were able to get to all of them! This was such a fun, cool building we had to make it here! It was much less scary than the shack with the birds in the bushes. I love the funky, broken windows and especially the trains. It’s so much fun to shoot in different locations I could have probably gone all day!!

I love how natural they were together, they just fit!

Photo Adventure

The best part about my photo session with Dallas and Elle, was the adventure and the fun we had along the way. As Dallas says, it’s fun to look at the pictures because each one has a funny story, from the small cactus like plants we accidentally sat in / stepped in / grabbed, to pulling the pricklies out of our clothes and appendages, to making sure I didn’t lose my keys in the desert, Dallas’s funny faces and Elle’s model poses, dirty couches, scary outhouses buildings or as Dallas tells it “the time when a bird flew out of a bush at Sandy and she took off running leaving us for dead.”

It’s the fun stories behind the fun pictures that make me love them. And this next one is one of my most favorite of the session:

This next shot is a random snap after I walked away and glanced back to see Dallas helping Elle switch back into her more comfortable desert walking shoes. It isn’t perfect and I debated including it in this post but there’s something sweet about it:

only problem is it quickly turns into this: …….. and this:

After our desert adventure, we were headed off looking for some tires on the side of the road which I had scoped out the day before. I slammed on the brake at the sight of a couch in the middle of a field. I exclaimed – “oh my goodness, did you see that couch?” To which Dallas replied, “I thought we were looking for tires (confused by the random items I wanted them to take pictures with)?” Dallas and Elle were troopers to sit on this couch – you can’t see how disgusting it looked from the other side – they make it look great though don’t they!

And here are the tires… cool, huh?

This little shack was our next stop and also the site of the terrifying bird. We kept hearing rustling around this building in the middle of nowhere and we were a little freaked out to say the least. Then suddenly a bird came tearing out of the bushes straight at me and I was out of there as fast as I could scream and run, leaving Dallas and Elle cracking up!

There is one more part left – a big industrial building and some trains are coming up, more injuries and more fun and laughing!

Sunrise in the Desert

This is part 1 of another multi-part post. This weekend I had the pleasure of capturing the adorable relationship of the newly engaged Dallas and Elle. We decided to wake up with the sun and head out early to capture the best light and I am so glad we did. It was well worth it in the end.

Isn’t it gorgeous here:

Dallas and Elle, have such a great time with each other. They are laughing and joking in just about every other picture I took of them. Usually, due to to Dallas making silly faces!

They are so incredibly sweet toward each other and both of them have such a heart for God, I just enjoyed watching them and I am excited to see how God will bless their marriage through their faithfulness to Him.

Elle – you are so gorgeous – this next picture was one of my favorites the moment I took it:

Cruisin’ Part 2

Here is part two of our fun vintage car photo session. Kim and Justin are married. They are such an adorable couple with great chemistry and obviously gorgeous. They were so sweet, bearing the mosquitoes and willing to pose for us until there were no visible traces of light to take anymore photos!

I just love the car – so fun!!!

Justin looked quite cool driving it!!
