Groundhog’s Day

After I finished hyperventilating I swallowed the big lump in my throat and called my friend Shelley to tell her the bad news. Half way through our photo session on Saturday I had to switch memory cards because my first one was full. When I arrived home so excited to download all the photos from our great session, I was distraught to find my little pouch of memory cards was no longer in my camera bag. Yes, not only did I lose the memory card that had all the pictures from the hour we had spent together but also several other memory cards!! I raced back to our location and scoured around for an hour looking in every plant and every garbage can in the vicinity, all to no avail!

Then I had to make the call!! I contemplated making Micah do it but decided I would take my lumps. After Shelley finished apologizing to me that I lost my memory cards and for all the time I spent, she quickly reminded me they still have the same kids and the same clothes, and we all had a fun day and we could do it again tomorrow! Shelley has always been one of the most gracious people I know but I was especially thankful for her grace and friendship this weekend!

So we grouped at the same location on Sunday, in all the same clothes (well actually I changed mine), and we took practically the same shots all over agin. We even got some additional cute ones we hadn’t captured the day before.

Can you believe we had so much fun after doing the same thing a second time in a row??

The first day we stopped for lunch at Crepeville after our session – Ken and Shelley were so nice to treat me to a strawberry crepe – my favorite!!!

Ken and Shelley – thank you for your understanding! I loved the time we got to hang out and wish we hung out even more. Hope you like them so far. I had so many to choose from!!

I can imagine how your heart must have dropped to your toes when finding the memory cards lost – eek! So glad it worked out though and these pictures are fantastic!

oooohhh, what a weekend huh?! I love them, I love them, I love them : )…but I really hate that you lost all your cards. I could tell in your face how tremendous it was. So thank you for all your time, we really did have a great time (both times)!It was funny reading you recall the phone call…you are very sweet : ) You do a tremendous thing for us and we are thankful : )
