Little Pumpkin

Today was such a great fall day. I spent all morning at the pumpkin patch with the kids, some great girlfriends and our Moms.  We had a fun time on the hay rides, the “choo choo train” and picking pumpkins. Then this afternoon I got to catch up with some regular clients who are always so enjoyable to photograph. Landon is one my favorite little smiley babies and Mom brought lots of cute props including a handful (or trunkful) of pumpkins! PLUS, I got to try out my new lens, the 85 mm f1.8, and so far I love it. The clarity and the bokeh were great! I used it about half the session just to ensure I was comfortable with the look of it. Check out these next few shots. For my photographer friends I have included the aperture settings on the ones I took with the 85 mm:

f 4.5

f 2.0

I processed the next one a little different. It was such a precious image I wanted to do something fun with it.

Aimee - Those are precious and how cute are his outfits!! Love the pumpkins too, great idea to incorporate those. I LOVE my 85mm lens, you’re right, the bokeh and clarity is amazing. Thanks for posting your settings. You and that lens seem to get along great!

KeriAnn - These are just Adorable! I love the pumkins and the last one. you did a great job on these, and I also adore the second one of the baby below. SOOOOOO precious. I have been a blog slacker lately. I have about a billion sessions to post and not time. Sigh…

ooh, I am loving your new lens!

Mariah Dorn - We absolutly love them, each session gets better and better. I love your new lens too. =) or it sure loves Landon. Either way each picture is great I cant wait to see the rest. You make it that hard to narrow it down that I may just have to each one again. Our family and friends love the brown shirt one with the hat and the pumpkin one of him smiling.
