The first rule of negotiating is to know your goal, what you want out the of the negotiation. Miss Madeline showed up to her family photo session knowing exactly what she wanted. As I peeked in her car window just after they pulled in, the first thing she said was, “Did you bring the princesses?” ”Why yes, yes I did?” She knew what she wanted and I knew what I wanted – cute smiles. Madeline knew exactly how to negotiate and we both came out winners. She gave me lots of cute smiles and I let her play with all my princesses – by the end of our session she had a bag full of toys to play with and I had a memory card full of smiles to look at. Good negotiating Maddie!! Until next time!!
