It’s funny how one day you are you (in my case: Sandy). You are young, social, career-oriented, flitting away on the weekends to Napa, San Francisco, Tahoe, spontaneously. You do, who knows what,’til 10:00 every night (because who can remember what they did with all their time before they had kids) then you go to bed and off to work again the next day. …Then you have your first child and suddenly you become “Haylie’s Mom, or Raider’s Mom, or James’s Mom.” And you’re sincerely happy with that! Your career goals really aren’t that important anymore and weekend trips are fun but nothing beats quality time with the loves of your life.
I have been good friends with April since high school but I couldn’t wait to see how she would be when her first little one came into the world. It was no surprise that April has turned out to be the most dedicated and adoring Mom. Her mother is doting and loving towards her and all her friends and it’s obvious April has inherited those great qualities. She is Fox’s Mom and so proud of it. Her and Matt love that little guy and are so proud of everything he does, lucky Fox! Course who wouldn’t be proud of this guy. He is the sweetest little boy. He just turned one and he came to his photo session with smiles galore and lots of hugs for me
Yay!

As I mentioned, April and Fox have the sweetest relationship and I love how this captures a quiet, intimate moment between mother and son:

Seriously – just look at that big smile. After a fairly difficult pregnancy, April was rewarded with the best little boy you could ask for!

“That’s right, they’re with me”:

ok – this next one should be a canvas in Fox’s room – so sweet! (And there’s even a fox on the front of the book!!)

Mommy and Daddy weren’t looking but he knew I was – sneaky Fox!!

Matt and April – thanks so much for a great session. April – you’re just such a good Mom, and such a good friend. I love your little guy – he is so sweet. Can’t wait for our girls weekend – see you soon!!!![]()
