It’s always a balancing act, making sure to get all the desired shots in a photo session. Definitely ones of the kids, ones of the family, one of each parent with each child, parents together, kids together, you get the point. While I was attempting to get all the traditional shots in my session this morning Dad, Kirk, eased my mind when he joked, “Claire is the star of the show.” I couldn’t agree more. I remember when our daughter Haylie was born and how our hearts swelled watching her and loving everything about her. I saw that same look in Kirk and Abbey’s eyes as they watched their precious little girl wandering through the garden delighting at all the fun things to do and see. And how could you not be the star of the show when you’re as cute as Miss Claire??
Claire was so fun to hang out with – she is just a week older than my son James (Abbey and I were due the same day) and she has developed such a sweet little personality.
I absolutely love this next picture – how Claire is having a serious little conversation with her bear!
And here is the adorable little family. Abbey is one of my girlfriends from high school. I’m so thankful to be friends with her still and be able to capture these moments of her beautiful family. I have lots of good family pictures but of course my favorite is this one because I love how they are all laughing – Claire sees my toy I am holding up and she wants it!!
In the picture with her table and bear, she looks like Alice in Wonderland! And the one with her pointing! Priceless. I hope that you can continue to take our pictures until Claire is ready for her High School Graduation portrait (the ones you got of Kyler were so great!). Thanks again, Sandy.
