How do I begin talking about this session? Hmm, let me just start by saying I adore this family! Tyson contacted me several months ago about a photo session for her family and unfortunately because she lives about an hour and a half away, I wasn’t able to travel due to my overwhelmingly booked calendar. This weekend we found out we would both be in Tahoe at the same time, yay! Well, things didn’t work out quite as planned due to 4th of July traffic, and at the last minute Tyson and family had to drive quite a bit further than originally hoped, but they were incredibly nice and pleasant about it! We had just about 45 minutes of light for our session but Chris, Tyson, Kayden and Sydney were so great in front of the camera it was easy to capture tons of great shots. Here’s big sister Kayden with her adorable little smile. I just love this cute photo of her by the creek:
I also loved this more serious one in black and white.
Little sister Sydney is just 3 months old but she had tons of smiles herself. I captured so many cute little grins and big happy smiles on this sweetie.

We were shooting all the way up until the sun set over the water. It was just beautiful out by the lake.
Chris and Tyson – thank you so much for choosing me to take photos of your family. I am so glad we had the opportunity to meet and I really appreciate you making the drive. Next time it will be my turn!
