When I corresponded with Jack’s Mom Jenna, we were trying to figure out the best way to get some really good 7 month images of her little guy. We wanted to make sure we had the best time and the best location (ie. inside, outside, etc) to make sure we maximized his “happy baby time.” Well whatever we did, our formula worked!!! Jack was the happiest baby; I could not stop saying how great he was. I absolutely adored him and just wanted to hang out and sit with him all day. I’m pretty sure I have found my new most favorite image:

ok maybe it’s this one… doesn’t he look like an angel?

No - it’s definitely this one… I love everything about this picture, and all the other cute photos of Jack for that matter! When Jenna pulled out this orange sweater I went a little crazy with my camera!!

Jenna and Mike - what lucky parents you are!

Just look at his little toes in the middle picture below. Too cute!

I could have titled this post many things but as I went through all of the images from the photosession I had today, all I could think about was “WOW - big brown eyes” - just wait and you’ll see what I mean!
To start talking about this session I must say, I love being a photographer in Sacramento! There are so many different, great places to take pictures. I have primarily roamed around the Folsom area but every now and then I venture out. Trisha found this great spot near her house and I was so excited. I love finding new places to take pictures and I love when a client finds something that fits their style. We are always at the mercy of the weather when shooting outside and today we just beat the rain - well it actually got us a little here and there but we were lucky to make it through fairly dry.
I had so much fun hanging out with this family. Cove and Sierra had the cutest brother and sister relationship I have ever seen - you’ll see what I mean about that too. They were so sweet together and so silly too of course!! They were very good at jumping and I believe they liked candy since Mom was smart enough to use that as a bribe throughout our session!
Now onto those big brown eyes - I sware I didn’t do anything to them in Photoshop - they are just that amazing!

And now that brother and sister love…SO SWEET!

Thanks to Dad for the idea on this next photo - love it!

This one just makes me smile - what a sweet family…

Did I mention Cove was a really good jumper??

Thank you all so much for hanging out with me and bearing the cold today!
Is that a cool name or what?? Race is definitely one of the coolest seniors I have ever met. He is athletic and loves extreme sports like snowboarding and wakeboarding. He is talented - I got to listen to him play the guitar as I made him do it over and over again for the pictures. :) And he is smart. He likes History, Government and Econ. Best of all he has a great personality. He was easy going and flexible throughout the shoot. He wasn’t too cool to give his Mom a big smile, and he was fun to walk around with for over an hour ! Everything about the session went great. We were afraid it was going to rain but the weather held beautifully for us. In addition, we found some of the best locations for Race’s senior pics. They matched his laid back style and cool presence. The one below was by far our favorite. It was this amazing, lush green forest area at the back of this dirty parking lot, perfect for Race to chill and play his guitar.

Race’s Mom is so proud of him. She was telling me all about how great he is when she called me about doing his senior portraits. What a lucky guy he is to have such a devoted Mom.

Race - I hope you like your sneak peek! Thanks for hanging out with me!
This session reminded me of “The Little Engine That Could.” Despite Tiffiny and my best efforts, we just could not make this session happen each time we scheduled it over the last couple weeks. From rain, to thunderstorms, flu bugs, and black eyes - all the odds were against us. But when all the stars aligned… it was no less than perfect. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the location, well… even that was a challenge. Our first selected location had turned into a swampland due to all the rain we have been having lately. So the morning of the shoot (after I had quickly driven by to see if our original location would still work and found out it was a no-go) I called Tiffiny and Anthony and asked them if they were up for an adventure. I had scoped out some new locations as a backup and had found two perfect spots right by each other that were just gorgeous!!! However, they weren’t the easiest thing to get to and one of the spots might have had a tiny little “Keep Out” sign - honestly it wasn’t that big - I actually missed it the first time I went by the location. Well Tiffiny and Anthony have an adventurous spirit about them and it really paid off!! It’s hard to take your eyes off this adorable family but check out the surroundings in the pictures - I have definitely found my newest favorite places to shoot!!
The first location was like a forest, complete with hills, tons of trees and lush green grass. I could have spent all day there and so could Logan. He was my explorer buddy and we were having such a fun time exploring the trails and finding new places to take pictures. We both agreed we need to come back some time and do some more exploring!!

We even found this huge rock structure which Logan and I were sure used to be a castle!! Here’s Logan and his Dad having fun climbing on the castle. Mom was only a little nervous!

It’s not always easy to do but I got a lot of good pictures of Mom and Dad together!

Our next location right nearby was a big field full of yellow wildflowers that I was seriously in love with. I caught this picture of Anthony and Kaden while they were waiting for Tiffiny and Logan to make it to our chosen spot in the flowers. I’m not sure he even knew I captured this but I thought it was too cute not to post!

I absolutely love Tiffiny’s style and creative genious. After I told her about the wildflowers she so brilliantly came up with the idea of having a fancy little family picnic in the field. I brought along some books as well to add to their little family time in the woods. Aren’t their outfits great? I am pretty sure I am going to need to bring Tiffiny everywhere I go so I can rely on her creative ideas and fashion sense for all of my decisions!

They really had the whole “fierce” thing down. I wouldn’t be able to pull off this look if I tried, but they look gorgeous!

Hey Logan - thanks for playing peek-a-boo with me in the flowers and thanks for the fun exploring. We’ll definitely have to do it again some time. There are lots more trails we left undiscovered!

So… this probably didn’t qualify as a sneak peek since I posted so many pictures, but I assure you there are a gazillion more cute ones where these came from!! Tiffiny and Anthony - I hope you like!!
